Montana State University is hosting its inaugural International Mountain Day celebration on Tuesday, December 11, and non-profit organizations are invited to have a free exhibitor booth. Register here:

The event takes place at the Emerson Cultural Center and features talks by mountaineer and author Conrad Anker, MSU geology professor David Lageson, and MSU graduate student Travis Corthouts. The three men traveled to Mount Everest this spring and will discuss the adventure and scientific research through presentations, photography and film. The presentation will begin at 7 pm.

An exhibitor's fair will be held prior to the talks from 6 pm to 7 pm. Organizations that show a clear tie to mountain ecosystems and culture through education, research, service or adventure are invited to participate. The exhibitor deadline is November 30. Register online
