Figuring out fun ways to entertain and exhaust a 20-month old in the winter can be a little tricky. When fresh snow falls it's pretty easy, but so far this winter we're still waiting on some consistency there. The best investment my wife and I have made this year was definitely a one-year membership at the Museum of the Rockies!

We couldn't believe how cheap that expense was when you consider all that it offers. My wife, myself and our little one have unlimited access to the world-class museum and its dinosaur exhibits, planetarium, and their Discovery center. If you have a toddler, make sure you check out what is waiting for them on the third floor (and get ready to do some of those walk/stride/jog laps you're all too accustomed to).

The planetarium shows are not entirely science-orientated. We just caught a Sesame Street show that our daughter loved. The museum also offers classes and camps (check their schedule). An added perk of a one-year membership is 10% off in their exceptional gift shop. With all that the Museum of the Rockies offers, it's a community staple that will really fill a void for your family.
