It happens all the time but some new music was just added to the Moose playlist and now that we have this new more personal and interactive website, let's talk about it.

The title track from the new Big Head Todd & The Monsters album, "Rocksteady" is one of the latest new songs you'll hear on the Moose. I really dig this song. Much like the album, it is very soulful and groovy. It's a soulful groove, no other way to put it.

We're going to be playing you another track from Alejandro Escovedo's Street Songs of Love album. If you liked "Anchor" (a song from that album currently playing on the Moose) I think you're going to like "Faith" also. I fell in love with this album the second I heard it live at this year's Targhee Festival. Love is a reoccurring theme throughout, so in that respect it is a love album but one that rocks at the same time. A perfect example is this song, have faith people.

My favorite new song we're giving you this week has to be "I Believe In You" by Black Dub. Black Dub is Daniel Lanois' new band which features Lanois on guitar, fame new orleans drummer Brian Blade, Lousianna bass player Daryl Johnson and Trixie Whitley (22 yr old daughter of Chris Whitley). Trixie's voice is going to blow your mind, especially when backed by this talent. Think island garage soul, could be a whole new genre. Excellent track!

Another new band will be featured this week when you hear "Pure Mountain Angel" from Truth & Salvage Co. This band is comprised of six members, four of which are lead vocalists and songwriters. They were sort of discovered by The Black Crowes' Chris Robinson who signed Truth & Salvage Co. to his label and produced their debut album. "Pure Mountain Angel" comes from that album and I think you'll enjoy the sweet four part harmonies over some beautiful piano and guitar.

And last but not least, The Roots will be heard on 95.1! As an old hip hop head, and huge fan of The Roots, this makes me very happy. The Roots have teamed up with the soulful voice and piano of John Legend on their new collaborative album titled Wake Up. Classics are sampled and covered, creating a new soulful R&B funk flavor delivered by some of today's top musicians. Staying in tune with Bozeman, the Moose is always getting more soulful. We hope you like "Compared to What".

We hope you like all of these songs actually, please let us know right here. Your feedback  is encouraged and appreciated.
