The new stage is up and ready to go for the 4th of July celebration at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. The new stage with canopy was included to protect the performers from any inclement weather. The Bozeman Symphony is scheduled to perform on the 4th from 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., followed by a fireworks display until 11:30 p.m.

Bob Appleby, a member of the Gallatin Empire Lions Club who helped with the stage, told KBZK the shell of the stage will protect the instruments should any precipitation fall. He also said the shell is angled at just the right direction so the sun won't be in the performers' and maestro's eyes. "It's just going to be perfect, and it's going to allow for this event to occur, otherwise it couldn't happen outdoors without the huge risk of cancellation, it won't be canceled," Appleby said.

The Fairgrounds is planning to keep the stage in place throughout the summer for potential future summer events.
