Airport officials will propose an $8 - 10 million addition to parking at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport today. Details here:

According to KBZK, the proposal includes a three-level covered structure with approximately 450 parking spaces. A bridge would also be constructed to connect the parking spaces to the terminal. Officials are hoping to have the chosen contractor pay for the project and lease it long-term to the airport.

Airport Director Brian Sprenger said the upgrade will provide cars shelter from the elements and create a shorter walk to the terminal. Sprenger told KBZK,

If all goes well and everything is complete from land acquisitions to utility relocations, we hope to see it bid out early this summer and construction start late summer/early this fall.

Officials will present the proposal to board members during today's board meeting, which will be held at 2:00 pm in the Bridger Room at the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport Terminal Building.
