After all the excitement of the total lunar eclipse a few weeks ago, we will be treated to a partial solar eclipse next Thursday the 23rd. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partly obscuring the image of the Sun.

Eric Loberg director of the Taylor Planetarium at the Museum of the Rockies has some viewing advice for you.
