Pearl Jam began a two-night stand at Boston’s Fenway Park last night (Aug. 5). They decided to honor one of that city’s most famous musical exports with a cover of Aerosmith‘s “Draw the Line” which they played for the first time in their career.

The performance, embedded above, came during the second encore, which also saw them play two other classic rock songs, the Beatles‘ “I Got a Feeling” and the Who‘s “Baba O’Riley” to close out the three-hour show. “I Got a Feeling,” a song they played frequently early in their career but not since 2004, was a request from a fan whose father had recently passed away. Earlier in the set, they played Bob Dylan‘s “Masters of War,” Little Steven‘s “I Am a Patriot” and Pink Floyd‘s “Comfortably Numb.”

They also paid tribute to the regular residents of Fenway. The Boston Globe notes that former Red Sox pitcher Bronson Arroyo sang and played guitar on “Black,” while “Faithfull” was dedicated to retiring star David Ortiz. When Eddie Vedder requested a ukulele for “Sleeping by Myself,” it was brought out by another ex-Red Sox player, Kevin “Youk” Youkilis, who has apparently been forgiven for spending the 2013 season with the New York Yankees. More video from the set can be found below.

After Sunday’s show, they only have two more dates left on their calendar, both at Chicago’s Wrigley Field, the home of Vedder’s beloved Cubs. In November, Temple of the Dog, the 1991 combining of members of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, will go on their first-ever tour in recognition of their lone album‘s 25th anniversary. You can see all their upcoming dates at Pearl Jam’s website.
