Were you in the dark this morning?

If so, you weren’t alone. About 1,275 NorthWestern Energy customers in Bozeman were without power for about two hours this morning, according to NorthWestern spokesman Butch Larcombe.

The outage occurred at around 7 a.m. Power was restored to customers at around 9 a.m. The outage affected areas around Church Avenue, North Third Avenue, West Lamme Street and West Oak Street.

As of 9:20 a.m., NorthWestern did not know what caused the outage, Larcombe said.

Whittier and Hawthorne schools were without power, but Superintendent of Bozeman Schools Rob Watson told us this morning that all schools were still in session.
