Renowned portrait artist, social justice advocate and author, Robert Shetterly, will deliver this year's Montana State University-sponsored Martin Luther King Day lecture on Tuesday, January 20 at the Emerson Cultural Center’s Crawford Theater.

The event will happen from 7 - 8:30 pm and is FREE and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

As part of the event, Shetterly will share images from his well-known “Americans Who Tell the Truth” portrait series and discuss the impacts of individuals who have fought for civil rights. Shetterly also authored a book by the same name, which showcases 50 portraits of citizens who have stood up for issues of social justice. Copies of the book will be available for purchase, and Shetterly will be available to sign books following the lecture.
