Rio Sabinas in Belgrade Is Closing Its Doors
Say it isn’t so! Rio Sabinas in Belgrade is closing! Owner Burke Moran told Belgrade News that Rio Sabinas will be closing its doors indefinitely on Friday, October 30.
The Mexican restaurant is owned by Moran, while Albert McDonald, owner of The Mint, holds its liquor license. Moran told Belgrade News his liquor license agreement with McDonald is not permanent and decided to close rather than “renew a lease without the guarantee of a liquor license further down the road.” He went on to say his lease will be up on December 31 and “business wasn’t doing what we wanted it to. All the stars aligned, and this is just how it worked out best for all the parties involved.”
