The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northern Gallatin County until 2:30 pm.  Serious hail could be on the way any minute! Details here:

east central Madison County in southwest Montana...

National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
line of severe thunderstorms along a line extending from 12 miles
southwest of Manhattan to 10 miles northeast of Ennis... moving
northeast at 45 mph.

* Locations in the warning include Belgrade... Bozeman and Manhattan.

This also includes Interstate 90 between mile markers 287 and 322.

This also includes Highway 191 between mile markers 58 and 81.

This also includes Highway 287 between mile markers 46 and 47.

Hail to the size of quarters and wind gusts to 60 mph are likely with
these storms.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

This is a dangerous storm. If you are in its path... prepare
immediately for damaging winds... destructive hail... and deadly cloud
to ground lightning. People outside should move to a shelter...
preferably inside a strong building but away from windows.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM MDT Monday
evening for southwest Montana.
