Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will temporarily close the Eight Mile Ford Fishing Access Site (FAS) on the Madison River near Ennis beginning Tuesday, October 28.

From 8 am Wednesday, July 30 to midnight on Thursday, July 31, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will close the Big Hole River to launching and floating from Greenwood Bottoms Fishing Access Site to 1,000 ft. below Silver Bridge.

Bring your child to The Children's Museum of Bozeman on Tuesday, June 17 to learn all about fish with fun, hands-on activities. You'll then head out to a nearby fishing hole on Wednesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 19 with the experts from the American Fisheries Society. Registration is limited. Sign up now!

Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks spokeswoman Vivica Crowser says flooding along Western Montana rivers is triggering closures for multiple fishing access sites and campgrounds on the Bitterroot River.

With the recent increase in temperature, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is alerting the public to the movement of ice jams and sudden rises in water levels along river corridors. A number of Region 3 fishing access sites are experiencing flooding with ice barriers forcing water to flow into these sites. The following FAS are currently closed:
