Here's what you need to know about the 19th annual Can the Griz food drive.

Your contribution will support over 1,200 local families in the Gallatin Valley that receive emergency food boxes each month.

There are many opportunities to volunteer your time around the Gallatin Valley this season. Here's a list of a few different ways to volunteer.

The Emerson will play host to the showing of Wasted! The Story of Food Waste, produced by Anthony Bourdain. Many famous chefs are featured in the documentary and this showing is a benefit for the Gallatin Valley Food Bank.

Apparently, the University of Montana is sick of losing to Montana State University each year in the annual Can the Griz Food Drive. Laurynn Olson, program coordinator in the MSU Office of Activities and Engagement, said that we are falling behind. More donations are needed by this Saturday (Nov. 21). Every can matters!

Our sister stations, XL Country and Kiss FM, are going to be out and about on Friday, November 13 broadcasting live and collecting food donations for the Gallatin Valley Food Bank! Stop by Smith's on 19th Ave in Bozeman and help Dave and Amy from the XL Morning Show and/or Town and Country Foods in Belgrade and help Will from Kiss.

The 16th annual Can the Griz Food Drive takes place on Saturday, Nov. 7 through Saturday, Nov. 21. Although it is a friendly off-field competition between Montana State University and the University of Montana to see which community can collect the most donations for their local food banks, we are very proud to hold a lead of 14 - 1 because our friends and neighbors in need are the real winners. L

Registration is now open for the 9th annual Huffing For Stuffing Thanksgiving Day Kids' Run, 5K and 10K race/walk. Help support our friends and neighbors who rely on HRDC's Gallatin Valley Food Bank during a time of great need.

Have a beer and some fun to support the Gallatin Valley Food Bank on Wednesday, August 19. Stop by 406 Brewing Company and Wildrye Distilling to donate cans of food and enjoy a free beer in return.

With summer approaching, the Gallatin Valley Food Bank and Community Cafe are gearing up for another Summer Meals Program. This year they will be expanding their site and time options to offer more opportunities for the community to take advantage of meals.
