It never fails. As soon as winter begins, I start daydreaming about gardens blooming and pots full of fragrant herbs on the front porch. However, we've got a ways to go before seeds should even be started. Didn't stop me from ordering a bunch of seeds for the upcoming season though!

I love being outside planting things, maintaining the lawn and enjoying flowers bloom all Spring and Summer. Come Fall, however, it's time to put things to bed and it isn't nearly as much fun. Unless you cheat, every single year.

It's funny how every year is completely different. Some years I have giant sunflowers. This year I have 2 that are no taller than 18 inches. This year had to be kept simple because of gardening time restraints.

Great weather is HERE! But if you're stuck inside all day, we've got just a taste of what's bloomin' in Bozeman.

As I've discussed many times, gardening is therapy for me. With no training, classes or skill my only desire each day is to come home and look at my flowers. Whatever is blooming and it doesn't matter what kind.

In this week's Bozeman, Montana gardening experiment we started some Sweet Pea seeds indoors. So far so good...and these aren't ordinary Sweet Peas.

Twinkle Toes seem to do fairly well in the Bozeman area as a perennial bulb and THESE little guys are my new favorite. They bloom early. They weather through snow. They're pretty and they last several weeks.
