It hard to believe that after getting almost a foot of snow is the higher elevations on Monday night that there is indeed a Fire Weather Watch in effect for most of South Central Montana including Bozeman and Gallatin Country through Saturday night. Here's why:
Let's be honest. True native Montanans can be hard to find these days. But a real LOCAL in my book is anyone who just dives into everything Bozeman and doesn't try to change everything. How do you think we got that sign code, eh?
Us Montanans love to camp, and most of us like to eat well too. Well, the folks at Belgrade Machine & Tools have created the coolest (and best looking) camp stove ever. Santa, if you're reading this.....I'd like one.
It a two-day conference discussing the U.S. and Montana constitutions in recognition of the 40th anniversary of the state’s formative document. The conference takes place at Carroll College in Helena on April 20–21, 2012.
Our entire region was rocked by the disappearance of Sherry Arnold when she went for a run. My hope is that IT IS her so that her family and friends can be at peace and the people who did this can stand trial for more serious charges. Story here:
As we've now officially hit Spring in Bozeman, that means one thing....runoff. Flooding can become a big concern in our area so HERE you can get all the info you need. This website will give you real time data on our river flows.
I remember building small towns out of Legos or building blocks as a kid. Generally that city would end up smashed because the most fun I could have with a fictitious town was to destroy it. Now is the chance for anyone with $1.4 million to own a real life town here in Montana! Hopefully the new owner will help it thrive and not let it fall to ruins.
Very few details are available as to WHY at this point but according to QWEST there is a "major outage in the Montana Central office". They are doing everything they can to restore service to their customers but the outage may last until tomorrow (Monday 3/5/2012).
