As expected, this past weekend's all-new 'SNL' featuring 'The Hangover Part III's Zach Galifianakis as host and musical guest Of Monsters and Men offered up a few solid sketches, but varied across the board for the bearded funnyman's third turn. Things could have gotten even stranger however, as a new un-aired sketch teams Galifianakis with Bill Hader for a retro detective comedy, but did this one deserve to make the cut?

Although last night's episode of SNL was filled with hit-and-miss sketches, one of the best moments was easily the strangest thing in the entire episode. The sketch imagines the Weather Channel creating its own soap opera and the results are about as strange (and often, as funny) as you'd imagine.

Months after Alec Baldwin dropped hints that a flavor named “Schweddy Balls” was on the horizon, B&J have made it a reality. The concoction, made of vanilla ice cream with fudge-covered rum and malt balls, got its name from an old ‘Saturday Night Live’ sketch win which Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer play low-key NPR hosts who delight in holiday confections made by eatery-owner Pete Schweddy (Baldwin).

When television staple ‘Saturday Night Live’ returns on September 24 for its 37th season, it’ll have a familiar host — actor Alec Baldwin.

It will be the record-setting sixteenth time the ’30 Rock’ star, 53, has hosted the NBC late-night sketch comedy show, breaking a tie with another show stalwart, Steve Martin. Baldwin’s first appearance on ‘SNL’ was April 21, 1990.

A very funny and pregnant Tina Fey returned to 'Saturday Night Live' this weekend for another round of hosting duties.

As expected, the episode poked fun at the recent death of Osama bin Laden. The night also featured sketches written around Fey's pregnancy, a hilarious spoof of Bravo's new reality series 'Pregnant in Heels' and, of course, the return of Fey as Sarah Palin.

Elton John put on a show as host of ÔSaturday Night LiveÕ this weekend, marking only his second appearance on the long running sketch comedy show.

In his opening monologue, John proclaimed Òthe bitch is backÓ before launching into a series of jokes about his new baby boy, whom John said was born with Òten fingers, ten toes, and $400 million dollars.Ó John also joked about Lady Gaga being his sonÕs (named Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John) godmother.

As for the actual sketches, many seemed to rely on jokes about JohnÕs British roots, his flamboyant stage persona and his sexuality, including one sketch titled ÔThe Old West,Õ in which John played, well, a flamboyant cowboy. (Really, can you blame the writers? WeÕre still trying to figure out why John hosted in the first place.)
