This week is turning out to be the epitome of winter in Montana with lots of snow, wind and advisories galore. DANGEROUS winds are possible through Thursday especially in the higher elevations.
All of Southwest Montana is facing a Winter Storm Watch until 5pm on Wednesday with the the valleys facing up to 10 inches of snow and the mountains facing 20 inches possible!
Another round of snow and wind is headed for Gallatin and Madison counties. Tuesday morning could be snowy but more concerning is possible gusty winds shifty the snow that has ALREADY fallen.
Cold temperatures, some snow and more wind are going to affect most of Montana through Monday. Great Falls and Helena are both under Advisories with more Warnings and Advisories expected.
More towns in eastern Montana will be feeling the effects of a strong front Monday and Tuesday. Snow and strong winds may create very dangerous travel conditions for the Miles City area.
