A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued through 6pm Monday night with the highest elevations around southwest Montana getting up to 12 inches of fresh snow.
Several counties will receive some snow on Friday, into early Saturday morning. Several inches are in the forecast for Gallatin, Madison and other counties with snow levels dropping to 5,000 feet.
Gallatin, Madison, Beaverhead, Jeffereson and Broadwater have been added to the list of Montana counties under a Winter Weather Advisory for Wednesday. SOME parts of the state may get a foot of snow or more.

Although there are still several "active incidents" on the Montana wildfire roster, the snow that we've received in September has drastically improved conditions. It might be the most welcome snow we've ever seen.
