It has allowed Specialist Brock Howland, who is stationed in Afghanistan, to witnesses the birth of his son back home in Michigan. Thanks to the video messaging system Skype, Brock got to see his wife Wendy deliver their baby.

The Department of Defense announced on Friday that Specialist Jonathan Pilgeram, 22, died on February 17th while serving in Konar Province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
