The latest Superman installment, "Man of Steel" (in theaters June 14), looks really good. On paper, it's a home run. Zack Snyder directs it ("300", "Watchmen") and the cast consists of Henry Cavill as Superman ("Immortals" and the TV series "The Tudors"), Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Russell Crowe as Superman's father Jor-El, Laurence Fishburne as editor-in-chief Perry White. Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, and other great actors are also in the film. I was intrigued from the start but after seeing this trailer, I might have to bite the ever-increasing movie ticket cost to watch the whole thing! See the trailer here:

Any lingering doubts comic book fans might have had about the decision to cast Henry Cavill as Superman should be erased today once they feast their eyes on the first official photo from ‘Man of Steel,’ which shows the hunky Cavill donning the iconic leotard and cape.

Lindsay Lohan to Audition for 'Superman' Role?

It's a bird, it's a plane ... Nope, it's just Lindsay Lohan trying to save her acting career.

Radar Online is exclusively reporting that the troubled actress, now 24, is set to audition for a role in Zack Snyder's 'Superman' reboot this week.

According to a source, Lohan "plans to return from New York on Wednesday and meet with producers and read with an actor who is up for the role of Lex Luther."

Lohan obviously won't be reading for the part of Superman's love interest, Lois Lane. That role went to three-time Oscar-nominated actress Amy Adams last week.
