Yesterday Jane Henson passed away. She was 78 years old. During her life, she was married to Jim Henson, and she worked with him until she took a break from puppetry to raise their children. Together they started 'The Muppet Show,' and Jane's work with the Jim Henson Legacy ensured that future generations would fall in love with the characters she and her husband dreamed up.
In an adorable new video for Entertainment Weekly's website, the much-beloved Sesame Street characters Grover and Cookie Monster sing about pop-culture hits such as 'The Avengers' and 'The Hunger Games.' Sadly, Elmo wasn't available to join the duo's little choir, as he was busy working on his new musical, but the Blues Brothers decided the show must go on and still performed in the EW office.
November 28, 2011 Although I used to love the Muppet Show as a kid, I wasn't sure if I should go see this latest Muppet movie in the theatre. I just had my doubts that another 'new' Muppet movie would pay the proper homage to the old Muppet Show. Well let me tell you, I decided to check it out over the weekend and....two thumbs up! (I would give it more thumbs if I had them).
