The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for elevations above 6000 feet for heavy snow...
which is in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to 6 PM MDT Friday.
The Winter Weather Advisory is no longer in effect.
The National Weather Service has issues a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 2:00pm this afternoon through 5:00am Thursday morning. 2 to 4 inches of snow are expected in the lower elevations, with 4 to 7 inches likely in the mountains.
If you have ever seen the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" you may be interested in the weather forecast for the next week. While it doesn't carry the drama that Hollywood was able to create, it does carry the snow. Experts are expecting record amounts of snow and ice.
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Southwest Montana through 11:00am this morning. Periods of snow will continue through late morning. Total accumulation of 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected in the lower elevations, with 6 to 8 inches expected in the mountains.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Southwest Montana in effect from late Tuesday night through Thursday morning. By midday Thursday total snow accumulations could reach 6 to 12 inches in the lower elevations, with 12 to 24 inches possible in the mountains
