If you're not skiing, shredding or sledding in the Winter in Bozeman - sometimes you need a little help finding "something to do". Bozeman may not have the MOST but we have some of the BEST.
Yellowstone National Park says they will open to the public for the winter season as scheduled, this Thursday, December 15th. As of Thursday morning, find out where you'll be able to travel on commercially guided snowmobiles or snowcoaches. Details here.
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 PM MST Wednesday.
Yeah, I love Bozeman...blah, blah, blah...but let's be honest. This time of year stinks. It's cold, or at least getting colder at a pace that allows most of us to get acclimated slower than we'd like.
Around here, we not only welcome the winter season but we celebrate it! Get ready Bozeman as the 2011 Avalaunch Festival kicks off tomorrow (November 10th) and runs through Saturday (November 12th). It's not too late to grab your tickets. Click here or pick them up at Cactus Records, Tarantino's Pizza, and Helly Hanson or you can even win some here!
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow is in the forecast for the Bozeman area, with several places in the Northern Rockies already receiving several inches of the white stuff. Here's the latest:
I haven't added a personal touch to the website in far too long....Dear Diary, Sorry you haven't heard from me lately but I'm boring.....but here we go. I'm preparing to go into hybernation. With that said, in the near future it is more than likely that I will become less active. I will instead opt to watch male aggression in it's modern purest form. Enter winter, and thus more MMA and football into my life.
Prepare to designate at least 6 months out of the year in Montana as winter. Don't get me wrong, I know this is what we all signed up for and I love winters here but I'm still gonna say it. When we're looking at a Winter Weather Advisory in late April, I can't help it...I'm kinda over it!
This was my fourth winter here and I know, it took me way too long, but I've finally embraced this one like a true Bozemanite by hitting the slopes! I'm from Connecticut where skiing and boarding isn't nearly as big a deal, probably because we have a couple hills to ski (not mountains).
Bozeman motorists are notorious for not fully preparing their cars in the morning for the commute during the winter. How many times have you seen the "one side of the windshield brush off" driving down the street?
