The Decemberists are pulling out all of the stops for their upcoming album, ‘What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World,’ including giving fans a video starring comedian Nick Offerman for the lead single, ‘Make You Better.’ The Portland indie rockers unveiled a sneak preview of the video, which will arrive on Monday (Nov. 24).

The two snippets feature Offerman in a somewhat elaborate getup as Franz Lieberwurstshlesser, a German host of the ‘70s-era show, ‘The Old Blue Rock Palace Show.’ Watch the first clip above, where Offerman spends the better part of 50 seconds stumbling through frontman Colin Meloy’s name ("Colon Meloy?"). Then, check out the second preview, below, and you'll see Meloy attempt to answer what mustard the new album would avoid if it found itself in a sausage house.

The video comes with a dedicated website that modernizes the TV show from about 1977-1997.

This isn’t Offerman’s first go at the making of a music video -- the ‘Parks and Recreation’ actor also directed Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy's star-studded video for ‘Low Key.’ You can find that below, too.

‘What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World’ -- which arrives Jan. 20 -- is the Decemberists’ first album since 2011’s ‘The King Is Dead.’
