Last night (Feb. 13), the Flaming Lips played a special tribute to the late David Bowie during the first in a two-night stand in Aspen, Colo.

Wayne Coyne and company played at Belly Up Aspen, opening with a medley of eight Bowie songs: “Space Oddity,” “Life on Mars?”, “Five Years,” “Ziggy Stardust,” “Fame,” “The Man Who Sold the World,” “Golden Years” and “Ashes to Ashes.” This was the Lips’ first time playing “Space Oddity,” “Ziggy Stardust,” “Fame,” “Golden Years” and “Ashes to Ashes.” They hadn’t covered “The Man Who Sold the World” and “Five Years" in two decades.
