The Grateful Dead worked with the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery on a new beer called "American Beauty." It's a "bold pale ale," which will include granola. The beer will be available throughout Dogfish Head's 27-state distribution network within a few weeks.

The surviving members of The Grateful Dead teamed up with Dogfish Head Craft Brewery to create a "Dead" beer. "American Beauty" is described as, quote, "a bold pale-ale made with 100% U.S.-grown ingredients." The band and the brewery reached out to fans for ideas on what to include in the recipe, and had to sift through many illegal suggestions to settle on...granola.

"American Beauty" will be available on draft and in 750-ml bottles throughout Dogfish Head's 27-state distribution network within a few weeks. Check out this video for more info on how this beer was created:
