No doubt about it, this is the most wonderful time of the year. I'm a sucker for Christmas. I love everything about it. It turns me into a woman (with real feelings and everything). I'm into decorating the tree, Christmas music, wearing red and loving everything and everybody around me. I even baked Christmas cookies yesterday with my wife and mother-in-law (had a great time). Now wait, I'm not exactly one of the girls this time of year. I mean I still don't embrace shopping like women do (I love giving gifts I just don't love going out and getting them).

Let me digress so that I can get to the point of this post. I love everything about Christmas for the same reasons a lot of women do but I'm also a man (God Damnit) so let me mention the icing on the Christmas cake. I love this time of year because as I spread the love (to others and to my midsection) I also get to enjoy one of the best times of the year in sports. As Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor would say right here, "Argh Argh Argh". I love football and this is the most exciting time of the year. Bowl season is beginning (the college football post-season) and the NFL playoff table is being set at the same time. I am currently awaiting the highlight of my weekend to begin (my Giants will battle for first place in the NFC East in less than two hours).

So I've got it good this time of year, the best of both sexes I guess (never thought I would ever say, type or more importantly think that sentence in my life). My intense love of football probably devaluates  my wife's holiday experience at times but again I'm a man (God Damn...uhhh you know). Hey honey, at least you've got a man to decorate the tree, bake cookies and wrap presents with (unless there's a game on). Enough said, I'm gonna go fill my eggnog with rum and watch the Giants beat the Eagles. Merry Christmas to me!
