Ballots will start arriving in mailboxes this week so that Three Forks residents can vote on approving a new $23 million bond to rebuild the existing school and add classrooms that are desperately needed.

The renovation would fix current safety and security issues, and it will also provide additional classrooms, including a new shop class and music room, along with a new gymnasium. The current school, which houses kindergarten through 12th grade, was built in the 1950s and hasn't seen a major renovation in almost 20 years.

This Thursday, the school district will host a BBQ and will answer questions about the school bond election from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Superintendent Robert DoBell also encourages residents of Three Forks to call him if they have any questions or concerns about the bond. You can reach him at 406-285-3224.
