I can't lie, I freak out a little when I lose my phone. It's just not a good feeling. I woke up with that feeling recently after a fun night out (here's an unrelated tip guys...if you're expecting a baby and allow your best friend to throw you a "dude shower" that consists of drinking games at a bar, don't let him schedule that for a week night). Anywho, back to a related tip. When you need to call a cab to get home, you most likely left your phone in that cab. Luckily, that was the case for me and the cab driver found it and brought it to his office.

A mobile security company called Lookout examined stats on when people used their "find my phone" app. They looked at where the phones turned up and figured out the top 10 places you're most likely to lose your phone. Inside a taxi is not on their list...but here you go:

  1. Coffee shop
  2. Bar
  3. Office
  4. Restaurant
  5. Apartment or Condo
  6. Grocery store
  7. Gas station
  8. House or other residential area
  9. Pharmacy or Drug store
  10. Park
