Does 2012 Mark A Recession Upgrade For Montana?

2012 kicked off with a minimum wage increase for the state of Montana. That means that the cost of living in Montana has gone up and we should all see a raise, right?

When does that sensible law pass? Oh well, Montana's minimum wage officially jumped from $7.35 to $7.65 per hour on January 1, 2012. This equates to approximately $600 more per year for a full-time minimum wage earner (about an extra $2.40 per day or $12.00 per 40 hour week). This puts us above the national minimum wage of $7.25 per hour.

I'm no economist, but a minimum wage increase while gas prices are on the decline, hmnn...another sign this recession thing is turning around? Still waiting for the housing market to rebound. Big money, big money...stop!... on 2012!!
