MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Former University of Montana linebacker Jordan Tripp worked out for scouts at the NFL Combine, finishing in the top 10 in five of the six drills.

The Missoula native was one of 35 linebackers who competed in drills in Indianapolis on Monday.

Tripp's 20-yard shuttle drill time of 3.96 seconds tied Green Bay Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk for the best linebacker result in that event since 2006.

KECI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1dufkJn) Tripp finished fourth in the three-cone drill, tied for sixth with a 37.5-inch vertical jump and was ninth in both the 40-yard dash and the broad jump. His 40-yard dash time was 4.67 seconds.
