The Bozeman Ukulele Cabaret will offer a free community jump-start ukulele class this Saturday, Jan. 23 at the Bozeman Public Library. If you just got a ukulele or have one gathering dust, this quick-start lesson is designed to get you up and running.

The two-hour class will get underway at 2 p.m. and will focus on holding, strumming, pressing down strings, making chords and playing fun, easy songs. Participants will also get a chance to practice tuning. No experience is needed as this class is especially for beginners (10 years and up). Bring your own ukulele or email bozemanukulelecabaret@gmail.com to reserve a loaner. (Instruction is geared to soprano ukuleles. If you have a baritone, please email for additional information).
