Weekends With Friends
I’ve said this before and will say it again many times before I die, but two of my favorite things on the planet are cold beer and good friends. My weekend was filled with both.Saturday’s Bobcat/Griz game was a good football game to watch by any account but the fact that I had talked more smack about the Bobcats winning made it IMPORTANT to watch. My friend Megan and I don’t get to see each other as much as we used to, but we talk nearly everyday. When neither one of us had committed to watching the big game with anyone else in hopes that we could meet someplace, the stars aligned and The Molly Brown it was.
It wasn’t too crowded, the Bud Light was on special and we got a table to ourselves amongst the 9 huge flat screens. The texts began flying between us and our Griz lovin’ friends in Missoula. Game on, and what a game it was. The Bobcats won the game 21 to 16. And we got free shots.
Although spending time with a good friend was the best part of the weekend, the phone call I’ll be making to my other friend in Missoula today on the radio will be even better. -M
