After an icy few days in the Gallatin Valley, we are expecting more snow this weekend in the Bozeman area.

According to the National Weather Service:

The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow which is in effect from midnight tonight to 6 PM MST Sunday.

Timing and main impact: snow will increase around midnight and continue through Sunday. Visibilities will be reduced to less than one mile at times.

Snow accumulations: total snow accumulations 2 to 4 inches lower elevations...4 to 8 mountains.

Locations affected include: Battle Ridge Pass...Bozeman... Bozeman Pass...Boulder...Boulder Hill...Elk Park Pass... Homestake pass...Whitehall...Townsend...Ennis...Norris Hill... Twin Bridges

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while driving.
