Several more inches of snow and heavy winds could affect southern Gallatin County and surrounding passes until Tuesday morning with wind gusts up to 45 mph.

According to the National Weather Service:

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM MST TUESDAY...

  • LOCATIONS... TARGHEE PASS... WEST YELLOWSTONE... RAYNOLDS PASS... MONIDA PASS.
  • SNOW ACCUMULATIONS... AN ADDITIONAL 4 TO 8 INCHES.
  • TIMING... LIGHT SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT. A PERIOD OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW IS LIKELY MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
  • IMPACTS... SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY ROADS ALONG WITH VISIBILITY REDUCED TO LESS THAN 2 MILES. VISIBILITY MAY BE AS LOW AS A 1/4 MILE FOR A TIME MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
  • WINDS... SOUTHWEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH.
