Although Bozeman and Helena are not supposed to receive more than 2 inches, the majority of western Montana is expecting up to 8 inches in high elevations.

The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow...which is in effect until 11 am MST Sunday.

Snow accumulations: 4 to 8 inches are expected in the mountains...with closer to 4 inches possible over mountain passes. 2 to 4 inches are expected over the plains and in most valleys.

Locations affected include: Fairfield...Chester...White Sulphur Springs...Battle Ridge Pass...Bozeman Pass... Targhee Pass...West Yellowstone...Stanford... Lewistown Divide...Boulder...Boulder Hill...Elk Park Pass... Homestake pass...Shelby...Big Sandy...Fort Benton...Conrad... Havre... Cut Bank...Great Falls...Kings Hill Pass... Big Hole Pass... Chief Joseph Pass...Dillon...Monida Pass... Flesher Pass... Lincoln...MacDonald Pass...Rogers Pass... Norris Hill... Raynolds Pass.

This advisory does not include the Helena...Townsend...and Bozeman areas. Accumulations there will be less than 2 inches.
