It's the moment we all knew would happen eventually -- and, based on the immediacy of the news cycle and when late night shows are actually filmed, it's the moment most of us also knew was happening yesterday -- but 'Daily Show' host Jon Stewart has finally announced his retirement after seventeen years at the news desk. Stewart's show films in the late evenings in New York City, so the news that he had announced his imminent retirement during a taping last night hit the wire many hours before the show actually aired.

Channing Tatum was very lonely as a child. So lonely, in fact, that the guy -- now America's sweetheart, one of the world's most popular actors, and an international sex symbol -- had to go searching for friends in offbeat places. That's how he found Boyd, his imaginary friend, and don't you dare say he invented him, okay, Boyd was real. 

Kidman and Fallon have previously met—all celebrities know each other, obviously—but while Fallon remembered their years-ago hang as a sort of weirdly casual thing, Kidman recalls it a bit differently. Like many of us, 'Tonight Show' host Jimmy Fallon appears to believe that Hollywood superstar Bradley Cooper can do anything -- and, based on his impressive resume of stage and screen roles and accolades, the guy can't be too off the mark. But there is one that Cooper isn't so great at: music. It's sort of surprising, really, and even the overly solicitous Fallon was a little dumbstruck when Cooper admitted that his musical talents are minimal on last night's show.

Matthew McConaughey may not be back for more super-sized 'Magic Mike 2' action, as the head honcho from the original feature won't be returning for whatever delights its sequel holds for us, but the film is lining up a very, ahem, eclectic cast so far.

During the taping of last night's 'Conan,' the heartbreaking news of Robin Williams' passing was announced. Instead of ignoring the news or saving it for tomorrow or not acknowledging it, host Conan O'Brien took it upon himself to share it with a shocked studio audience, sidekick Andy Richter, and guest Will Arnett. Still stunned and reeling from the news, the trio -- all of whom had worked with Williams in the past -- shared their thoughts on the actor and comedian.

"Dammit!" Jimmy Fallon might sound a bit like Pee Wee Herman when he screams out Jack Bauer's '24' catchphrase on his 'Tonight Show,' but that doesn't detract from the power of star Kiefer Sutherland's signature yelled expletive. The '24: Live Another Day' star took to the late night chat show last night to talk all things dramatic and ticky-clocked, and Fallon couldn't help but inquire

Jimmy Fallon must have some kind of death wish -- after all, what sort of nut would ban dancing from their 'Tonight Show' and then invite Kevin Bacon on as a guest? If Jimmy Fallon is secretly competing for some kind of special title like "Late Night Talk Show Host Who Can Get The Most Famous People in the World to Do Insane Stuff on Television," he's already got that fictitious accolade in the bag after his first two weeks as 'Tonight Show' host.
