Additional Information

“So you should view this fleeting world—
A star at dawn, a bubble in a stream,
A flash of lightening in a summer cloud,
A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream.”
– The Diamond Sutra

Visiting Zen priest, Kathie Fischer, will guide us in a study of the Diamond Sutra. We will read the Diamond Sutra for its beautiful language, grapple with the teaching of emptiness, and come to understand why this teaching has been so vital to Buddhist practitioners for nearly 2000 years. There will be periods of sitting and walking meditation, teachings on the text and dialogue. Texts will be available for purchase.

Friday night is an open to the public introduction to the topic. Hosted by the Bozeman Zen Group. Register for the weekend retreat by emailing info@bozemanzengroup.org.
