Montana’s Most Delicious Meal? Hint: It’s Nothing You’d Expect.
Each state or region is known for its culinary creations.
States in the Northeast are known for seafood dishes. Down South, it's soul food. Missouri is the king of barbecue, and Texas does Tex-Mex like no one else. So, what about Montana? What are we known for?

Most folks would say huckleberries or the pork chop sandwich, and while both would be excellent suggestions, apparently neither is taking the Top Spot for Big Sky Country. Oh, and while we're talking about popular Montana foods, check out these foods made popular in the Treasure State.

What is Montana's most delicious meal?
I've had some amazing meals here in Montana, so which Montana meal is the best? Grilled Bison? A juicy Elk steak? Vinison Chili? All are wonderful and some of my favorite dishes, but none of them qualify for Montana's most delicious meal, at least according to one source.
The folks over at Cheapism decided to list the most delicious meal from each state.
Now, you might be wondering how such a large undertaking actually takes place. Do they travel the country sampling these meals? Do people write in their suggestions? Is there some sort of online vote?
Looking at some of these dishes, I question the process. For example, let's look at Colorado. What is Colorado's most delicious dish? According to Cheapism, that would be the Bison Burger. How about Kansas? Their most delicious meal is chili and cinnamon rolls.
So, what about Montana? What is Big Sky Country's most delicious meal?
We've already told you what it's not. It's not any sort of wild game. It's also not the Pork Chop sandwich, huckleberries, or Flathead cherries. According to Cheapism, the most delicious Montana meal is the following:
- Chicken Fried Steak
- Fry Bread
- Highlander Beer
- Grizzly Paws
Yeah, I'm not buying it either. I mean, don't get me wrong, it all sounds good, but the most delicious? Naaa. Oh, and for those of you wondering what a Grizzly Paw is, it's a candy that uses things like "chocolate, vanilla, caramel, cashews, almonds, and other sweet ingredients to create a bear-claw-shaped candy."
