Living in Montana has its challenges.

We have tons of outdoor activities to partake in, there are plenty of bars, and depending on the time of year, both the Cats and the Griz are super fun to watch.

Is Montana a stressed-out state?

Using several different metrics for the rankings, the folks over at Legacy Healing Center looked at over 30 different factors to determine where each state ranked on the stress level, including things like money, work, family, etc.  So, what about Montana? Are we stressed here?

According to the data, not really.

As far as the most stressed state goes, that title belongs to the folks of Louisiana. Apparently, living amongst the gators and water is a stressful thing because the top 3 most stressed states are all on the Gulf Coast.

What about Montana? Did we make the Top 10? How about the Top 20?

For whatever reason, Montana seems to be pretty chill. In fact, we're ranked 39th out of 50, which means there are only 11 states that are less stressed than we are. Is it because we smoke so much hippie lettuce? Who knows, but it should be noted that our neighbors over in the Dakotas are even pretty stress-free, as well as North Dakota, which came in 48th, and South Dakota, which came in 49th.
