While some Montanans might not think it the most glamorous nickname, how does it rank compared to the other 49 states?

Taking a look at some of the nicknames for different states, there certainly are a few that catch the eye. The Badger State (WI) sounds pretty tough and of course, everyone is familiar with the Lone Star State (TX). Then there's the Mt Rushmore State(SD) and the Bluegrass State (KY).

Where does Montana's Treasure State nickname rank?
According to the social site USCulture, when it comes to awesome state nicknames, Montana is darn near the top of the list. Montana has the distinction of having the 2nd overall best state nickname. The only state ranked higher than "The Treasure State" is Alaska with the nickname "The Last Frontier".
I mean, I get it, that's pretty epic.
However, 2nd out of 50 is pretty epic as well. While there has been discussion to update Montana's nickname, it doesn't look like the name "The Treasure State" is going away anytime soon. Plus, if you aren't a fan, you can always you one of the unofficial names.
