Montanans That Love Trader Joe’s Get Uplifting News

Trader Joe's is one of the most popular grocery stores in America, but there aren't any locations in Montana. We spoke to a representative from the company and recent got an update on plans for a location in Montana.

Will Trader Joe's Open a Location in Montana?

For those of you that aren't aware, Trader Joe's is unlike any other grocery store in existence. Many of the products that you'll find at the store can't be found anywhere else. When I visit my parents in Boise, I always make it a point to stop at Trader Joe's to stock up on snacks and bring them back to Montana with me.

In 2023, Bozeman welcomed the first Whole Foods location in the state. With the state's rapid population growth, it's understandable that other companies have their eyes on Montana.

We reached out to a representative at Trader Joe's to ask about the likelihood of a new location in Montana and received the following response from the company's Public Relations Manager, Nakia Rohde.

We are actively looking at hundreds of neighborhoods across the country as we hope to open more new neighborhood stores each year. We are not yet in every neighborhood we hope to be in. If customers would like to suggest a specific location, we have a form on our website: www.traderjoes.com/home/contact-us/request-a-store. There are no guarantees, but being wanted matters to us.

Honestly, it seems like a fairly generic response, and unfortunately, it doesn't sound like a Trader Joe's will open in Montana anytime soon. I know a lot of Montanans would welcome the grocery store with open arms. If you visit the Trader Joe's website, there's a section where you can "request a store."
