Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks said that flows have improved on the Big Hole River in southwest Montana and they have now lifted the two remaining angling closures that were in place.
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is alerting the public to angling restrictions on the Big Hole and Jefferson Rivers effective Friday, July 3 as a result of high water temperatures. Restrictions on other southwest Montana rivers are likely in the near future.
Anglers and recreationists, be aware: The Big Hole River near Divide will close on Monday, June 22 from 8 a.m. to midnight due to construction work on Silver Bridge.
From 8 am Wednesday, July 30 to midnight on Thursday, July 31, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will close the Big Hole River to launching and floating from Greenwood Bottoms Fishing Access Site to 1,000 ft. below Silver Bridge.
