Before you know it, Christmas will be here and as I've noticed, you probably have too, lights, trees, lawn decorations are already going up!  We all NEED a little holiday cheer.  Here is something you can participate in and help our community as well...

The Custer Gallatin National Forest now has Christmas tree permits available at all seven Ranger Districts and at numerous local businesses.

When you're ready to un-deck the halls, remove everything from your Christmas tree but LEAVE IT WHOLE to be recycled at these Bozeman area locations.

The City of Bozeman’s forestry division will be recycling Christmas trees again this year as a courtesy service for city residents.

Still need to get your Christmas tree fresh from the forest? No problem...but you DO need a $5 permit to cut your own tree.

If you still need to get rid of your Christmas tree, the city of Bozeman wants it! Rather than tossing your tree out with the trash, city officials prefer you drop it off at one of four locations in town:

We know it's a little early to think about Christmas being over, but some folks like to be prepared to move on when they are. When you are ready to dispose of your tree, please remove any non-organic material such as wire, string, metal, etc...
