Yup. You can now apply to be on the Bozeman City Commission with the resignation of the Mayor. No, you won't be applying to be the new Mayor.

Andrea Surratt is expected to accept the job offer from the city of Sandy Springs, Georgia. Her final date in Bozeman is yet to be determined.

The commission has come to the well too many times. Bozeman Safety Building, new high school are all going to hit resident’s wallets and purses in the coming months.

Do you want to build Bozeman up like New York City or spread out like Los Angeles? Neither one sounds very appetizing to a longtime resident.

If I’ve learned anything about Bozeman in my 25 years, it’s that Bozeman does pretty much what it wants regardless of any outside influence.

A woman who’s trying to add an addition to her current mobile home park voiced her frustration to the cost of all the prohibitive rules and regulations.

Along comes Andy Holloran — hero or villain? Will a future street be named after him or will “Save Bozeman” ride him out of town on a rail?

Why stop with housing? Why not take this to Main Street? Get an “I’m poor” card from the city and you get an affordable discount on all your purchases.

However, I don’t think any of us want wall-to-wall food trucks lining Main Street so there has to be a compromise of some kind.
