In the winter months it's the most isolated community in the Lower 48. This "coolest small town in America" is the only town in Montana that you'll have to leave the state to reach by road.
According to Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center Director, Doug Chabot, the three skiers that were caught in the avalanche are reportedly from the Bozeman area.
