No that wasn't an opener for a joke. Check out this massive herd of elk stop traffic recently in Bozeman (and there is a happy ending for the last one).

Extremely cold temperatures brought an elk herd near Anaconda very close to town.

I guess this young bull elk doesn't like paparazzi! Watch this boy get feisty with a photographer in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I can't believe this goes on for about 5 or 6 minutes:

Hunting season is well underway and according to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks spokeswoman Vivica Crowser Elk hunters in Western Montana have been doing better in 2013 than last year.
