The heat and the haze continue for the entire state of Montana this week. Air Quality Index numbers certainly fluctuate but at this point we're fluctuating between levels of 'bad'. Where are the hot spots today for poor air quality?

Our friends at Bee Broadcasting and KJJR Radio in Kalispell just kicked off the 23rd annual radiothon to help raise money for cancer patients in Northwest Montana. Sure, we use bridges all the time but I can't remember the last time I saw one BEING BUILT. Just northeast of Kalispell, a bridge was constructed over the Flathead River and they captured it all on time-lapse video.

If you're headed north, be aware that gusty winds and up to 10 inches of snow are expected in some areas by Saturday morning.

Kalispell to Lolo Pass, Sula and Lost Trail Pass are all included in this Winter Weather Advisory for up to 6 inches of snow through noon on Friday.

There's a Winter Storm Warning AND a Blizzard Watch in effect for the Flathead and Mission Valleys through Monday. Treacherous driving conditions are expected with LOTS of snow and wind.

A fresh round of snow will cover the Kalispell area and Mission Valley on Sunday evening, continuing through Monday morning prompting a Winter Weather Advisory.

A front heading down from Canada will cause a few inches of snow to fall in the Kalispell area with gusty winds making travel occasionally hazardous.

Every September, Flathead County plays host to the Montana Dragon Boat Festival. Fun and festivities occur in Volunteer Park approximately 10 miles south of Kalispell.

Many parts of Montana will be under Freeze Warnings Monday night until approximately 9am Tuesday. Temps will be dropping into the 20s so take good care of any still-blooming gardens!
