One Direction aren't shy about putting their own spin on some of music's biggest songs and while performing in Arlington, Texas, the boys took on Kings of Leon's 'Sex on Fire.'
Nathan Followill, the drummer for the band Kings of Leon, was reportedly injured last night, Aug. 9, following an accident that involved the group's tour bus.
There's no official lineup for Lollapalooza yet, but the Chicago Tribune is reporting that music heavyweights Kings of Leon, Skrillex, Arctic Monkeys and Eminem will be among this year's headliners.
Kings of Leon unveiled an interesting cover earlier this week on BBC's Radio 1. They definitely made Robyn's dance/pop track "Dancing On My Own" their own, as they slow down the tempo and decide not to reverse the gender roles (creating a whole new story). Although the Kings Of Leon had already churned out several solid records before "Come Around Sundown" arrived in 2010, this particular record made everyone I know fall for them. Even dudes were sold.
It looks like we'll finally hear something new from Kings of Leon towards the end of 2013. They're expected to release their next album sometime in September. What can we expect? Bassist Jared Followill says the band has finished recording it...and it sound surprisingly immature!?
The Kings of Leon extended family keeps on expanding. Drummer Nathan Followill and wife Jessie Baylin welcomed a daughter, Violet Marlowe Followill, as a belated Christmas present. Little Violet was born in Nashville on Dec. 26.
With the band on hiatus since late last year, the members of Kings of Leon have had to find new ways to stay busy. For vocalist Caleb Followill, the downtime has provided the perfect chance to start a family -- and for his brother Jared, it's jump-started a whole new band.
Between one epically bad concert and a cancelled string of tour dates, Kings of Leon have certainly been no strangers to unwanted publicity this summer.
But according to drummer Nathan Followill, you can put at least one rumor in the “untrue” column.
