I walk by this sculpture at The Emerson in downtown Bozeman all the time. Artist John Banks pulled a fast one and it's gorgeous when you see the brilliance. (This piece is a part of the Gallatin Art Crossing.)
Local artist Tom Benedict creates works of art from old, dead pieces of Juniper wood. The same kind of wood you've probably seen on your hikes a hundred times. Those graying stumps become something incredibly beautiful after some time in the hands of the Montana Wildwoods owner.
